Depths of Greed

Your daughter is sick. She's been sick for weeks, and no matter how many medicine men and hedge wizards you call in, they all say the same thing. Everyone in the village has given up hope, but there's still one tiny possibility available to you, no matter how far fetched it may seem. There is a tale told that within the caves that lie near the sheep paddocks, there dwells a terrible beast that keeps the secret of life and death. Many heroes pass through the area seeking this prize, and your village has grown fat on the sale of provisions for them, however none has ever returned with the legendary goods.

You've been a trader for the past dozen years of your life. Riding the caravans you travelled from city to city, until you met Sam, and have stayed in this village with a humble shop since. You know nothing of sword swinging or fiend slaying, but in your experience the old wisdom that everyone has their price has never proved false. Perhaps the same holds true for monsters, and with the profits of last weeks business in hand, you intend to find out.
